ZANOTTA: Tweed-Marble – material trait

Zanotta

Designing the surface of a top with the natural veining of the material is the identifying concept of Zanotta‘s Tweed family of high and low tables, which this year is expanded with the introduction of an original version in Striato Marmo Olimpico, Tweed Marble. The marked horizontal gray veins innate in the stone become a graphic and decorative sign.

TWEED MARBLE enhances the program of tables designed by Garcia Cumini characterized by the organic shape of the tops and distinguished by a sophisticated processing of the surface of the material – originally wood, today marble – to create a graphic sign in continuity with the diagonal line that separates the top into two parts, to imitate a leaf.

In the Marble version, a reinforced structure supports two striated marble slabs juxtaposed so that the veins combine in a lozenge shape in a mirror-like play of extreme precision and great impact, enhancing the material’s properties.

THE SERIES

The high tables are available in five irregular formats – two Tweed Marble and three Tweed in Canaletto Walnut and Oak, natural or stained black – to accommodate different numbers of diners and meet different space requirements. Completing the collection are three Tweed Mini low tables designed to complement the sofa area in the living room.
