Quadrodesign tells its philosophy to protect the environment, through the creation of a Corporate Forest.
There are design products that are at the top of a pyramid of thoughts and values. The latter, conceived in the mind of the entrepreneur, cascade through every stage of the production process (from the choice of designer to the packaging to contain them) and, communicated in the right way to the public, become a criterion that guides purchase choices. All of this is free from the dynamics of trends, both in terms of principles and aesthetics.
This is the process that makes unique the story of Quadrodesign, whose collections of design taps and fittings, for bathroom and kitchen, are the synthesis of a concept of doing business aware, from the beginning, of its role of social responsibility through the respect of the environment: a place and an asset for all, to preserve rather than exploit, choosing a raw material like stainless steel which is durable, reconditionable and therefore recyclable, manufactured according to non-toxic processes and with a high content of craftsmanship.
The tale of the company’s philosophy is made up of concrete acts, and that includes its product know-how and public overall increasing appreciation. But there is also a wider story, which recently saw the birth of the first QUADRO FOREST, the result of collaboration with the online platform, Italian in origin but operating worldwide, Treedom.
The company financed the purchase of 200 coffee, avocado, grevillea, tephrosia and moringa trees, planted in an area of Kenya and entrusted to the care of local communities.
Enrico Magistro, co-founder of the company with his sister Elena, said: “With the help of Treedom, we planted a forest of 200 trees in Kenya, absorbing about 71,750kg of CO2. Our commitment is to increase this number in the coming months. We strongly believe in the Treedom project that, to the rhythm of Let’s green the planet, promotes not a good deed as an end in itself, but a true virtuous business model able to generate environmental, social and economic benefits“.
Like all well thought out projects, the Quadro Forest is in progress and is enriched with new plants, thanks to the responsible choices made no matter how far away they are: Quadrodesign has for some time now combined the story of its philosophy with the shots of photographer Alecio Ferrari, a delicate eye that, between macro details and dreamlike visions of naturalistic subjects at sunset, has donated some of his shots to the company, which in turn has re-invested in new trees.
Almost as if to testify that the cycles that nature has always performed, and that man has worked so hard to alter, are fortunately inevitable and can become an inspiration for the most enlightened entrepreneurial initiatives.
About Treedom
Treedom is the first platform in the world that allows you to plant a tree from a distance and follow the story of the project online.
Since its foundation in 2010 in Florence, more than 1.000.000 trees have been planted in Africa, South America and Italy. All trees are planted directly by local farmers and bring environmental, social and financial benefits to their communities. Thanks to its business model, in 2014 Treedom became part of the Certified B Corporations, a network of companies that stand out for high environmental and social performance.
