New address on Mallorca: farm-to-table dining concept ‘La Farm’ opened in June 2024

Palma de Mallorca, 18 June 2024 – La Farm, a new farm-to-table dining concept, opened in Mallorca on 11 June 2024. La Farm not only offers a perfect experience for all the senses at the highest culinary level, but also combines sustainable and seasonal cuisine with the vibes of the Balearic Islands.

La Farm is only around 15 minutes from Palma, in Santa Maria del Camí. The culinary consultant is Vivek Singh, renowned chef, author and regular guest on the BBC show ‘Saturday Kitchen’. The head chef at La Farm is Antonius Beshay.

The menu offers a mix of Mediterranean, Oriental and Indian influences. The ‘Barefoot Luxury Dining’ experience also includes an Orange Tree Bar located in the middle of an orange grove. Accompanied by beats from internationally renowned DJs under the starry Mallorcan sky, guests can get to know a new top address in Mallorca.

Signature dishes on La Farm’s ‘Mar y Tierra’ menu include tomato tartare, lobster brioche, red wild tuna tartare and meat and fish specialities prepared over an open fire in the middle of the garden. La Farm works exclusively with local and sustainable suppliers. Vivek Singh describes the food philosophy as follows: “In the Balearic Islands, influences from Africa, the Orient and Europe come together. Every dish should celebrate this diversity. We attach great importance to local and seasonal products that are prepared in their unique purity.” The Indian star chef adds that ‘spices will also have a magical effect’. He describes it as a bazaar full of ideas or a buffet full of flavours.

La Farm is initially open five days a week from 7 pm and guests are asked to book in advance. Whether for a Dinner for two or for a group of friends or family, or as a location for weddings and other events.

‘With La Farm and Barefoot Luxury, we want to offer guests a unique experience that appeals to all the senses and goes far beyond a mere restaurant,’ says founder and entrepreneur Christopher Catterfeld. With the La Farm concept, he and his business partner Jayne Archbold are proving that fine dining and sustainable kitchen concepts are in no way contradictory.
