Pop-up by MACHINE-A: London’s Top Designer Brands travel to Shanghai
MACHINE-A launches a pop-up store with multi-brand concept store Labelhood – a key supporter of Chinese fashion designers – in Shanghai, running from 1 October 2020 until February 2021. Some 21 best-selling brands at Machine-A will be sold at Labelhood, which shares an affluent, fashion-loving and young demographic with the London-based store.
The pop-up features a special selection of merchandising from some of MACHINE-A’s favourite brands including Raf Simons, Peter Do, Maison Margiela, 1017 ALYX 9SM, Paco Rabanne, A-COLD-WALL*, Lemaire, Delada, Namacheko, Paula Canovas Del Vas, Y/Project, Richard Quinn and Sweet Lime Juice – all of which customers can experience at No 2, 764 Nong, Changle Rd, Jing’an District Shanghai.
For this special partnership, Rei Nadal directed a short fashion film which connects the two worlds of the stores, their audiences, and their cities – London and Shanghai. Nadal’s film explores the thrill of nighttime in these futuristic cities, the models’ fashion, as styled by Stavros Karelis, making them stand out from the shadows in a modern apartment block, while the city lights shine below. All fashion in the film is available at the pop-up in Shanghai.
