The circle closes at OLM, the round Eco Aparthotel in the South Tyrolean Taufer Valley. It all began with a millstone – now guests can expect a refined “Olm” character in harmony with nature. THE MILLSTONE
Where fox and hare say “Güita Nocht” in South Tyrolean in the middle of a tranquil alpine landscape, there was once a flour mill. The round stones of yesteryear were the inspiration for the architecture of today. A millstone as a foundation stone, so to speak.
GREEN POWER HOUSE
A circular building made of concrete, stone, glass and wood with a diameter of 110 metres was created according to the plans of the South Tyrolean firm “Andreas Gruber Architekten“. The circle is also a recurring stylistic element inside the building, whether as a mirror, carpet or light in the 33 residential units.
THE SUSTAINABILITY
In keeping with the symbolism of the circle, the sustainability concept is also complete. Electricity and heating are produced entirely independently using hydropower, geothermal and solar energy, with no impact on the environment. A naturally fed well and electromobility round off the overall green concept, which has even been certified twice – by Klimahaus A and GSTC.
THE CULINARY
The gastronomic concept, which is not simply full board, is “Indulge as you please”. It starts with breakfast, after which guests have several options to choose from. At check-in, guests receive a digital cookery booklet with ingredients that can be purchased at OLM and prepared in the ApartSuite. Alternatively, the in-house restaurant PRENN° also offers tasting menus, aperitif dinners and themed evenings. There are other restaurants in the region all around..
THE WELLNESS
Ooooohm – you will find your inner centre in the inner circle of the building. A green relaxation garden, a natural bathing pond, a 25-metre sports pool and a garden sauna ensure well-being. 25 ApartSuites even have their own sauna. It smells of larch wood, cowbells ring in the background, a fox scurries through the forest – and as a guest in this place of power, you can simply be part of the cycle of nature.
