When the ski stars are battling for the crystal globes in the FIS World Cup final at the end of March, the sporting spirit is also going strong at the nearby Puradies Naturesort Leogang. With the two coaches Assal Arian and Marcel Maurer, Peloton is organising an active weekend in the idyllic retreat under the motto Fit and Balanced, shuttle service to the World Cup included. We asked the coaches about the workshop highlights, ideal training plans on holiday and their best motivational sayings.
My first climb on a Peloton bike was…
Assal Arian: an unforgettable experience that transformed my fitness journey.
Marcel Maurer: in December 2020 in the store in Hamburg. After the casting request came in, I got curious and introduced myself in the store as a normal customer. The salesperson put me straight on the bike and showed me a ride by Cody Rigsby. I was thrilled and decided to send my CV to the headhunter the next day. That’s how it all began…
For my Peloton-Participants I am…
AA: A coach who motivates them to become stronger and achieve their goals.
MM: Hot, happy and hungry. I love doing sport and transferring my enthusiasm to others. As well as a lot of effort, there’s always a lot of fun in my workouts and the odd funny line.
I have these tips for the training plan on holiday…
AA: Incorporate short, intense workouts and bodyweight workouts after a ride for holistic fitness.
MM: I always recommend a mix of strength and cardio. But also set yourself realistic goals for your holiday that you can achieve and never forget one thing: to have fun.
The best Peloton training to prepare for skiing is…
AA: High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and leg exercises for strength and endurance.
MM: These are our Glutes & Legs workouts…
The participants of the retreat can look forward to these highlights…
AA: Unique wellness in the Alps, from the brand new Heaven Spa to sustainable catering. Relaxed rooms, breathtaking views and a focus on holistic well-being.
MM: To a unique location, the new wellness area and lots of good energy from Assal and me. Plus fun, cool workouts and getting to know each other personally…
That’s why every hotel should have a Peloton Bike…
AA: … to offer guests a flexible and effective training option that promotes their well-being.
MM: Variety! In addition to cycling courses, there is also the opportunity to do strength, yoga and meditation. Our members also have the opportunity to train with us while on holiday.
These three scenic rides are my favourites…
AA: Alpes Scenic Ride, Costa Rica Scenic Ride, Cote D’Azur Scenic Ride
This is what Peloton has done to my wanderlust…
AA: My Wanderlust was strengthened, as it allows me to train anywhere and at any time and discover new places.
MM: Mine was also further aroused, as we are a multicultural, diverse company.
The Peloton community is…
AA: an inspiring community that motivates and supports each other.
MM: unique because it connects people and awakens sports enthusiasm.
My best tip for beginners…
