What does a tortoise have to do with Christmas? Quite a lot! It stands for grounding, calm and optimism. All values that teach us true contemplation. In the form of a golden necklace from TWENTYTEN, the wise animal could soon be under your Christmas tree. With door number 15, we are taking it slow.

Year of foundation: TWENTYTEN
So we approach the holy festival with cautious steps and reflect on the constancy that the turtle itself and the TWENTYTEN jewellery label exemplify. Since 2010, the label has been producing customised pieces of jewellery, all of which are numismatic in nature. What does that mean? Antique coins serve as inspiration here or are even used directly.
The TWENTYsome collection is based on coins that have been minted. The design for the necklace with the turtle comes from an ancient Greek coin – probably the oldest in Europe. A square stamp is immortalised on the back of the pendant – a quadratum incusum from Aegina from the years 530 – 500 BC. The turtle shimmers in 18ct rose gold and the diameter of the coin is approx. 7mm.
