No, the Douro Boys are not a boy band, but the spirit is the same: they work together to touch the hearts of the whole world. Not with pop songs, of course, but with wine – from the Douro Valley. Not only does the river of the same name flow here, but above all port wine. One of the four Douro Boys members also runs the marvellous Hotel Casa do Rio. Quinta do Vallado, Niepoort, Quinta do Crasto, Quinta do Vale Meão: are the names of the four members of the Douro Boys, who are already being supported by their daughters and sons in the next generation. They have been working together for over 20 years on a mission: to publicise the wines from their region. Their region? The picturesque Douro Valley in Portugal, along whose river their wineries are located.
