The highly anticipated Maxx Royal Bodrum Resort has now opened its doors. Designed by leading Turkish architect Mahmut Anlar, the stylish beach resort is set to become one of the most prestigious addresses on Bodrum’s jet-set scene this summer. The 11.4 hectare property is perfectly located on the northern coast of the Bodrum peninsula and offers an upscale resort experience with a number of carefully selected partnerships in the fields of art, gastronomy and lifestyle.
In collaboration with Scorpios, the renowned creative beach concept that first emerged on the island of Mykonos, the brand’s first international outpost has opened on the neighbouring peninsula. The Maxx Royal team places great emphasis on exceptional culinary experiences and has welcomed internationally recognised culinary partners such as Caviar Kaspia, Wolfgang Puck’s Spago, THE MAINE and Alfredo Russo’s ORO to Bodrum.
Maxx Royal Bodrum is also home to artworks by world-renowned artists Refik Anadol and Bernar Venet, as well as many up-and-coming local artists, which are exhibited at the resort.
The opening of Maxx Royal Bodrum Resort joins Maxx Royal Belek Golf Resort and Maxx Royal Kemer Resort in Antalya as the luxury hotel chain’s third resort in Turkey.
DESIGN AND INTERIOR FURNISHING
The sustainably designed, tranquil estate of suites and private villas, which meets the stringent LEED Gold standards for construction, offers a variety of accommodation options, all with private balconies and terraces offering magnificent views of the Aegean Sea. They are housed in a series of innovative, modern buildings built into the hillside, blending harmoniously with nature and the fragrant gardens of indigenous plants and flowers.
Geo ID’s interior design is characterised by a calming colour palette inspired by the coastal environment, including bright greens, tangerine and turquoise. Natural materials such as wood, stone and marble as well as handmade, glazed tiles from the region can be found throughout. The guest rooms and public areas are furnished with handcrafted ceramics, hand-woven rugs and local artwork.
An incredible 1,063 square metre presidential villa will include five bedrooms, a heated seawater pool, steam room, sauna and Jacuzzi, as well as a fitness centre. All villa guests staying seven nights or more will enjoy a complimentary cruise on the Maxx Royal Yacht.

– Spago by Wolfang Puck: an outpost of the highly acclaimed restaurant where diners can look forward to some of the chef’s signature classics, including the famous smoked salmon pizza, as well as some brand new dishes that combine American, Asian and Italian influences.
– THE MAINE: Montreal restaurateur Joey Ghazal’s third outpost alongside London and Ibiza, with its typically lively atmosphere and a menu that pays homage to the summers he spent in New England, will open in June. eröffnet.
– Caviar Kaspia: Situated in a very romantic location, it offers a decadent dining experience of the Parisian institution, where French cuisine meets Russian tradition.
– A regional speciality restaurant serving authentic local fish dishes prepared in the traditional way over charcoal.
– Casa Sol: An original restaurant concept developed in collaboration with drinks specialist Proof Creative (responsible for some of the best bars in the world). The restaurant explores the rich flavours of Latin American cuisine, made from the best local ingredients. – ORO by Alfredo Russo: fine Italian cuisine under the direction of internationally recognised chef Alfredo Russo, who interprets some time-honoured classics in a modern way, complemented by a carefully curated wine list and a selection of signature cocktails

The 4,500 square metre Maxx WellBeing Centre is a wellness sanctuary with 20 treatment rooms offering an extensive range of holistic and science-based treatments from renowned international spa brands such as Biologique Recherche, Art of Detox Phytomer and Swiss Perfection. A soul-soothing menu of signature spa rituals is on offer, including an authentic Turkish bath using locally sourced products, including roses and rose water.
Other wellness facilities include extensive hydro and thermal baths, a relaxing relaxation room and a special medi-spa area. In addition, a comprehensive healer and retreat programme based on the Maxx Royal Seven Elements of Wellbeing is offered, combining traditional anti-ageing protocols with holistic healing rituals.

FAMILY-FRIENDLY OFFER
The huge Maxxi Land kids’ club is the largest in the region and has space for children from one year old to teenagers. It has incredibly age-appropriate spaces, including a dedicated workshop where fun mini-masterclasses take place, a party room where they can sing and dance without inhibitions, and a mini stage for enchanting performances. Children aged 11 and under can also enjoy a free lunch at the Twenty4 restaurant, which offers a tantalising selection of dishes. For teenagers, there are less structured and more adventurous activities such as tennis tournaments, windsurfing and stand up paddling.
A carefully compiled entertainment programme with family tournaments, live music and sunset parties also offers plenty of opportunities for joint activities.
SCORPIOS
The partnership with Scorpios will allow guests to immerse themselves in the cross-cultural experimentation with music and art that the creative beach concept is known for. Wellness and nutrition are at the heart of the experience with a holistic wellbeing programme based on ancient wisdom and the latest scientific findings, as well as a restaurant specialising in Aegean cuisine served in a relaxed, family atmosphere.
Opening in mid-June, Scorpios Bodrum will also be the brand’s first 24-hour offering, with exclusive accommodation that encourages guests to enjoy the beautiful Bodrum sunrise.
ART & CULTURE
Guests can enjoy a fascinating journey through contemporary art curated by Zeynep Utku, founder of Arts Connected and graduate of Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design.
Bernar Venet, a central figure on the international art scene and known for his Corten steel sculptures, has created one of his largest monumental sculptures to date with the construction of two vertical arches at the entrance to the resort’s marina. Venet’s work can also be seen throughout the resort, with his sketches adorning the walls of the public spaces as well as a number of his sculptures. There is also an exhibition of his work on show for the first time in Turkey.
Refik Anadol, the Turkish-born, Los Angeles-based new media artist who has mesmerised the world with his swirling AI art landscapes over the past ten years, is showing one of his mesmerising installations in the resort’s lobby. Anadol’s digital artworks were inspired by data from the ocean and are displayed on a giant screen.
The resort is home to two art galleries where Utku has partnered with BASTOK LESSEL, founded by Tom David Bastok and Dylan Lessel, through Arts Connected. A dynamic exhibition programme of high calibre artworks is planned, open to non-residents. A ground-breaking residency programme with innovative Canadian artist Chloe Wise is currently in preparation.
An inspiring programme of local cultural experiences has been put together, offering the opportunity to immerse yourself in Turkey’s rich heritage, including visits to the ancient city of Ephesus (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the House of the Virgin Mary and the village of Sirince, as well as the travertines of Pamukkale and the ancient city of Hierapolis.
