Max Mara Renaissance Flowers Collection – a capsule collection which recall the renaissance inspiration of the SS21 runway show and the aesthetic of the Italian garden and the botanical symbolism.
This season, the brand returns to the Renaissance for its inspiration. From love to passion, from hope to health, from purity to spiritual wellbeing.
The aesthetic of the Italian garden and the botanical symbolism employed by Renaissance masters to express the full range of human virtues and emotions inspires a new Max Mara Renaissance Flowers Collection.
These new Renaissance engenders new silhouettes and details; dresses are short and elegant with different floral prints. The gathered necklines are harmonized by the pictorial colours of the sixteenth-century paintings.
Trousers are straight-cut jogging shorts or slim-cut with floral designs. T-shirts and sweatshirts feature bouquets printed on a silk panel or on cotton patchwork. The new Renaissance is here, with its exquisite floral prints.
Starting 8th March 2021, the collection will be available exclusively on maxmara.com
Max Mara is an Italian fashion business. It markets up-market ready-to-wear clothing. It was established in 1951 in Reggio Emilia by Achille Maramotti (7 January 1927 – 12 January 2005). In March 2008, the company had 2,254 stores in 90 countries. It sponsors the Max Mara Art Prize for Women.
Achille Maramotti began designing couture clothing in 1947, and officially established the House of Max Mara in 1951. The “Mara” came from his surname, while “Max” referred to Count Max, a local character who was seldom sober but always stylish. Maramotti was one of the first to see that the future of fashion lay in the mass production of designer-quality clothes. He was also keen to emphasise the brand ahead of the names of individual designers, even though he employed Karl Lagerfeld, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Dolce & Gabbana, Narciso Rodriguez and Anne Marie Beretta. The company remains in the hands of the family.
