The Design
The elegant villa consists of 11 One Bedroom Pool Villas, Two Bedroom Pool Villas and Three Bedroom Pool Villas, all with private pools and unparalleled club services, including a personal butler in all villas, cocktail hours in the villas or club lounge, afternoon tea hours and a private chauffeur. The interiors of The Legian Seminyak, Bali, and The Club by The Legian Seminyak, Bali, were designed by acclaimed Indonesian interior designer Jaya Ibrahim and are typically of an elegant, understated and locally inspired design style. Born in Yogyakarta, Ibrahim was the son of a diplomat from Sumatra and a Javanese princess. He spent his childhood travelling with his parents and living in his maternal grandmother’s house in Yogyakarta, where he absorbed Javanese culture. He worked for Anouska Hempel for 20 years before returning to Indonesia and setting up a design studio. The Legian Seminyak in Bali was one of his most important individual projects, which led him to design other hotels, including the Chedi Muscat in Oman, the Aman Summer Palace in Beijing and the Setai in South Beach, Miami. The hotel’s architect is another great Indonesian – Hendra Hadiprana.
